Navy Memorial Mourns the Passing of Tova Borgnine

The Navy Memorial was informed with great sadness that Tova Borgnine has passed and is now reunited with her life partner, Ernie Borgnine. Ernie and Tova Borgnine were instrumental in the success of the United States Navy Memorial. Their love and appreciation for the Navy and the mission of the Navy Memorial were unparalleled.

“Very few people have made the impact on the Navy Memorial and done so much for the men and women of the United States Navy than Tova and Ernie Borgnine,” said Rear Admiral Frank Thorp IV, USN (Ret.), President and CEO of the United States Navy Memorial. “Their love and appreciation for the Navy Memorial will forever be a part of the fabric of the United States Navy Memorial.”

Ernest Borgnine was honored with the Navy Memorial Lone Sailor Award in 1997.
