Mr. John P. Bush

John is an Executive Director in EY’s Advisory Services for Government & Public Sector (GPS), where he brings extensive experience in business and IT transformation, policy/program strategy and implementation, and consulting practice leadership and development.  John leads the Program Management competency within GPS, which helps Government clients plan, execute, manage and optimize their most complex and mission-critical programs.  Prior to joining EY, John served as Senior Vice President and Practice Leader for Hitachi Consulting’s Americas Public Sector practice, serving clients in the Federal, State and Local and Healthcare markets in the US and Canada.  John has also held executive/Partner-level positions at BearingPoint and Arthur Andersen / Accenture.

John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis at Miami University, where he currently serves on the External Advisory Council of the College of Engineering and Computing.  He is an active Fellow in the American Council for Technology / Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC), a public/private partnership between the US Federal Government and the information technology industry.

A former tall ship sailor, John comes from a family committed to the sea services, including service in the Navy, Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command.
